Clover surprise card - free plotter template
Cut files for download (svg + pdf + instruction): zip
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
- cutting plotter supporting A4 format
- optionally – any tool with a pointed but slightly rounded tip, like toothpick, knitting needle, ballpen without ink etc. for scoring the fold lines
- A4 cardboard, weight ca. 170-200 gsm, for the message you can use thinner paper
- paper glue (a clear, solvent based is recommended, water based adhesives can buckle the paper)
LINES DESCRIPTION: black – cut lines red – fold lines. In Cameo 4 I use the Score option, setting the lowest Force value (too deep cut may result in tearing off the piece of the template). After ungrouping the part you can change this line into perforated one or remove it completely if you prefer making the creases manually.
ASSEMBLY:
1. Cut the card base and the insert. Remove loose pieces of paper.
2. Apply some glue in the places shown in the picture.
3. Slip the corners of the insert into the cuts in the card base. Let the glue dry. To avoid distortion, press the card with a heavy book.
4. Make all folds. Now you can put the gift into the box. If it contains small parts (like earrings) it should be additionally wrapped, for example in cellophane. Seal the box as shown on the next photos (or watch the video).
5. Print your message or draw it with the plotter pen, cut and glue inside the card:
